Tabi doesn't like you. She doesn't like anyone except her own family and not even all of them. Some of her uncle's annoy her to ridiculous degrees and she thinks they are mostly old fuddy duddies. She thinks her Uncle Jordan and Aunt Katya are pretty cool though, not that she'd ever say it. Her brothers, Chester (14) and Byron (8) are her favourite people in the entire world but yet again, she pretends this is not the case and does her absolute best to make it seem like she could totally do without them.

She thinks very highly of herself, though she isn't as smart as she thinks she is. She is homeschooled, a governess is employed especially to teach her and answer to her every whim. She's a brat and far more interested in spending hours in front of a mirror or shopping than she is in anything else. Her plan is to marry into even MORE money and status and be the perfect trophy wife. Then she'll have a series of lovers and scandalous affairs.

Tabs gets immensely jealous of anyone that gets more attention than she does, whether it is deserved or not. She's SO used to being the absolute centre of attention that she'll do almost anything to paint anyone who steals the spotlight from her (intentionally or not) in a negative light.

She plays sweet quite well when she's being watched, but once the eyes of authority figures are off her, she transforms into a hellion. Tabs does whatever her father says, saving the pout and the planative 'But daaaadddyyyyy!' for special occassions, or she tries working on one of her uncles to help her get what she wants.

She isn't notably talented in any one area, though she's accomplished with several instruments, languages, dancing and of course entertaining. She longs for the day that she can run her own home and throw excessively lavish dinner parties that make everyone else look bad.

-A Silver Tongue: Nico can talk his way out of almost any situation, he has what is know as sprezzatura.

-Dueling: His uncle has been training him (painfully) since he moved in with him at age fifteen, Nicholai has a knack with defensive spells in particular and dark magic comes naturally to him

-Occulmency: Apart from the fact that he's now quite accomplished an occulmens, in general he is very good at hiding and faking his emotions and controlling what others see of him.

- Is ridiculously in love with a half-blood. To him, love is a weakness and the blood status doesn't help matters.

History

Nicholai is the second youngest Toussaint with three older brothers and a younger sister. He grew up at the family home in the Aleutian Islands, often holidaying with his grandmother in Sicily, his uncle in Dorset or at one of the family summer or winter homes in St. Petersburg, Prague or the Maldives.

He grew up particularly close to his next in age brother, Adriano who is two years older than Nicholai, though he is close with all his siblings. Although Adri is older, Nico was always the one calling the shots in their little plans. From 'borrowing' their oldest brothers' brooms for an inter-island long distance overnight trip, to poisoning professors and sneaking Beauxbatons students into Durmstrang via floo for a party; Nico has always had big plans which only ever seemed to go wrong when he allowed someone else a role to play.

At age twelve, Nico met the girl that was supposed to be his future wife, Cadence Leonard. The match was arranged purely for business reasons, and it was Nicholai because he was the closest in age to the girl in question and in the eyes of those who made the decision (i.e parents, grandmother, uncle), being the fourth son made him expendable. The situation arose because his mother was supposed to marry into that family but ran off with a Toussaint instead. If one of Serafina's sons did not marry Cadence Leonard, then her daughter would be married off to Cadence's uncle, Benedict Leonard. Nicholai much preferred it to be him than Celandine.

Nico didn't much mind until he moved to live with his uncle in Dorset and upon his first visit to Diagon Alley, met a Hufflepuff girl and much to his surprise it was a love at first sight kind of deal. Not that he's ever (or ever intends to) say those three little words to her. Nico and Kayla have been together in secret for most of the time since they met at the start of his fifth year. This was partly due to the arrangement that he was not quite sure how to get out of and partly because Kayla's own family situation was somewhat perilous. with her Grandmother, Rosa Cavello being an assassin who trained Kayla up with the intention of her taking over when Rosa passed.

During his 6th year, Kayla was caught up in some of her family drama and started school late. During this short time, Nicholai had a paparazzi issue. An old Durmstrang school mate had changed to Hogwarts and was taking pictures of Nicholai with various girls, manipulating the shots to look far more scandalous than they were.

When Kayla returned, she got hold of the photographs and assumed the worst of him. They broke up and Nicholai was devastated, his behaviour becoming destructive and worrying to his friends. There were many complicated relationships during this time, including a rivalry of sorts with Gryffindor Prefect Cale Newell who took an instant dislike to Nico because of his developing friendship with Cale's girlfriend (and now soon-to-be wife) Anna Greingoth. Nicholai ran with this, getting amusement out of riling the Gryffindor up and goading him wherever possible. During this time, Nicholai had a brief relationship with Mariska Morozova, a Ravenclaw girl who he became quite fond of. Had things been different the relationship most certainly would have lasted much longer.

With help from his friends and despite being challenged to administer Amortentia to one of them (by Cassandra Trelawney, then healer intern, past Slytherin prefect and current healer at St Mungos), suffering a detention due to his younger sister's antics, Nico and Kayla managed to fix things and reunite, though they still had Nicholai's impending arranged marriage over their heads.

At the end of his 6th year, Nicholai left school to stay with his uncle and learn from him full time. Nicholai completed the majority of his NEWT exams in his 6th year and studied the rest under his Uncle's harsh tutoring. He still kept in touch with his friends from Hogwarts and decided then that he'd work with Anna Greingoth when she graduated as she too wanted to work on potions research and development.

He also made slow and painstaking arrangements to free himself from the contract, which was meant to be enacted when he turned 21. Nico bought a house in Hogsmeade with a secret passage attached that lead to the forbidden forest, so that Kayla, who was prefect for Hufflepuff in her 6th year, could visit him, though he did not live there at the time, but he used it as a base for his experiments with antidotes.

The day her school year finished, Nico met her in Hogsmeade and unwittingly, the first time they had slept together, got her pregnant. She wasn't quite seventeen. Nicholai, when he found out, the first thing he did was leave the house and murder Benedict Leonard and Cadence's father, Jacques Leonard with some of the untraceable poison he'd been developing in conjunction with the antidotes he was working on. It was a terrible accident of course; the two men got into a terrible argument, pulled their wands on one another and simultaneously caused each other's demise. Nicholai found a sadistic enjoyment arranging the scenario and inflicting harm on their bodies to support the story.

Nicholai's next step was to visit Rosa and convince her that it would be a good idea to arrange for Kayla and himself to be together. He struck a deal with her, smooth talking her and preparing things on that front. Kayla remains unaware of what transpired between Nico and Rosa.

Now all that remains in the way of Nicholai and Kayla being together openly is Cadence herself and Nicholai's own family. His brothers and his sister know Kayla and know about his son Michael Andrei Toussaint, but his parents, his uncle and his grandmother do not.

His child is a halfblood, a bastard and a secret.
